How do I install BFVZ visuals?

Install BFVZPowerGantt or BFVZPowerHealth from Microsoft AppSource, or import the .pbiviz file directly in Power BI Desktop. Navigate to the Visualizations pane, click the ellipsis (...), select “Import a visual from a file,” and choose the downloaded .pbiviz file.

The visual isn’t rendering or shows an error

Verify that all required data fields are mapped in the Fields pane. Try refreshing the visual by toggling it off and on, or by refreshing the report data. Confirm that you are running a supported version of Power BI Desktop or the Power BI Service.

What is BFVZPowerHealth?

BFVZPowerHealth is a DCMA 14-point schedule health analyzer for Power BI. It delivers automated A–F grading, 16 risk codes across 4 severity tiers, a CPM engine, tri-strategy resource optimizer, and program comparison—all reading P6/MSP exports directly on the Power BI canvas.

Does BFVZPowerHealth require BFVZPowerGantt?

No. They are independent visuals that can be used separately or together. Both follow the same data model conventions, enabling seamless integration when used side by side.

How does licensing work?

Both BFVZPowerGantt and BFVZPowerHealth use the Power BI Licensing API built into the Power BI platform. Each visual is licensed independently. Two tiers are available: Creator ($12/user/mo) for schedulers and report authors with full edit access, and Viewer ($5/user/mo) for executives and stakeholders with full read-only access. Both tiers include a 30-day free trial with all features enabled.

Do BFVZ visuals send my data externally?
